Hello dear Flattrack Community,
Below, for all those interested, are some explanations and information about the second season of the GERMAN FLATTRACK CUP:
In our opinion, the 2025 races left a positive impression on all participants, despite some initial difficulties. This is also reflected in the fact that we have already reached 50% of last year’s cup registrations before we even announced the registration period.
Based on the experiences of the 2025 season, we have drawn the following conclusions regarding the organization:
- The dates should be set well in advance.
- We need a certain level of commitment during the planning phase so that we can calculate the expenses for organization and marketing.
- An (excessively) high number of participants (Moorwinkelsdamm) can lead to organizational difficulties.
- For the organization of the races, we need to better/more clearly organize the involvement of drivers who want to participate.
As a result, we’ve tried to structure the registration process in a way that rewards early registration. Given the long lead time, it’s still possible to withdraw your registration up to a certain point before each race and receive a refund. We discussed these new registration procedures at length, and only time will tell if they are the right changes.
Ultimately, the goal is to organize a reliable and sustainable cup for both organizers and drivers. This requires a certain level of commitment from both sides. Therefore, we ask for your understanding that the regulations have become somewhat more complex and binding.
A meeting is planned for spring 2026, followed by a party. Anyone who wants to can arrive a few hours early, and we can discuss organizational matters together. After all, the most important thing is that drivers can race. 😉
Greetings from Diedenbergen, Nordhastedt, Halbemond, Moowidamm
P.S. It is also important for us to mention that this year’s change from Brokstedt to Nordhastedt has no “deeper causes”, but was simply done to bring some variety to the cup.
