ATTENTION! IMPORTANT! We know from experience that informational texts are sometimes too long and, consequently, not read with the necessary care. We therefore wish to explicitly point out that the information below—and adherence to it—is MANDATORY for participation. The race is organized by the fantastic MSC Moorwinkelsdamm, and the club sets the standards for participation. This applies particularly to the following note regarding the DECIBEL LIMIT!
The DECIBEL LIMIT at MSC Moorwinkelsdamm is 112 decibels (110 + 2).
We wish to explicitly point out that a noise limit of 112 decibels will be in effect for the FLAT TRACK FRIDAY NIGHT, and compliance with this limit will be strictly enforced. The organizing club, MSC Moorwinkelsdamm, expressly reserves the right to immediately withdraw from the race any motorcycles that exceed this noise level during racing conditions.
You can find information regarding the noise limit and the measurement procedure established by the MSC here: Moorwinkelsdamm Measurement Procedure
To explain:
On race day, random noise level measurements are carried out both during vehicle inspection (technical inspection) and during real racing operations in accordance with DMSB and FIM standards! Every single participant must ensure that their vehicle complies with the specified values during the entire event under all racing conditions! This also applies to all vehicles where “everything is original” or “road legal”.
Before training and racing, sufficient time is given to warm up the engines. Unnecessary running and revving of the vehicles is to be avoided in the pits and also at the pre-start. The vehicles are only started when they enter the race track and are turned off again immediately when they leave.
We fully support this measure. Because of course it is of no use to anyone if Flattrack Friday Night and possibly no other races can take place in the future due to complaints from one or even just one neighbor.
In the interest of the event and also in the interest of our sport, please ensure that your flat tracker stays as far below this noise limit as possible!
This is ultimately in your interest and ours too. Thank you for your understanding
If you’d like to come to WHEELS & WAKE at Beachclub Nethen this Saturday, please let us know using the contact form below. We’d love to see you there. We’d be even happier if you brought your flat tracker along to the venue, as we want to do a bit of promoting for flat track racing.
